How many morphemes in "better"?
Your Ad Here
I believe there is only one morpheme in "better"; the word does not consist of "bett" and the comparative-forming "-er." "Better" is not, for example, like "hotter"--hot+er. There is only one meaningful grammatical unit in "better."
