Best places for Asian-Americans in Australia?

I'd like to vacation in Australia some time because I like to travel. One of the things I like to do is meet locals to see how people in particular areas live. I'm an Asian-American, and I've heard from a couple other Asian-Americans who've been to Australia that Asians are the most racially targeted group. I'd ume the country side would be worst. Are there areas that are Asian-friendly and still English-speaking (I don't speak any Asian languages)? lol Kinda funny question, but I'm just curious.
